Melissa Urban Craig, lyric soprano; MA, Montclair State; BMus, Wheaton College, made her NYC debut in concert at Klavierhaus with the Prima Trio in August, 2011. Melissa spent a year (in the air, flying weekly) as a Visiting Artist/Voice Teacher at Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA. Ms. Craig studies voice privately at The Juilliard School. Melissa has performed with the Opera Project of NJ, Capitol Opera of Harrisburg, the Juilliard Opera Workshop, the Phillipsburg Light Opera Company at the Easton State Theater, the Aspen Summer Music Festival, and the Wheaton College Concert Choir. She holds a certificate in Contemporary Commercial Music Pedagogy, Level III Graduate - Somatic Voicework ™ - The LoVetri Method, from Shenandoah University. A versatile singer of opera and classical repertoire, she is also a dynamic contemporary sacred concert artist and songwriter. She has performed in various venues including the 5th Ave Presbyterian Church, NYC; the dedication of the Andreas Library at Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia, PA; and led Praise & Worship for the PCA Women in the Church Conferences at Princeton Seminary, Princeton NJ.
